Witnesses sought to attempted aggravated robbery at Lake Tuggeranong

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery that occurred on the bike path around Lake Tuggeranong about 4:30pm on Wednesday (13 June 2018).

An elderly couple were walking near the basketball courts at Lake Tuggeranong College when they were approached by three juvenile males who had their faces covered. One of the males produced a knife and demanded a wallet and mobile phone from one of the victims.

The victim refused and the juveniles ran away in the direction of the skate park.

The three juveniles are described as:

Male 1: slim build wearing a dark coloured beanie, a grey hooded jumper and dark coloured pants;

Male 2: large build wearing a red hooded jumper and dark coloured pants; and

Male 3: slim build wearing a hooded jumper.

The three juveniles have been identified by police with two being apprehended who will appear in the ACT Children’s Court on Monday (18 June 2018).
