Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery in Giralang

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men involved in an armed robbery in Giralang on Saturday (December 19).

About 5.15am, a taxi driver was parked in the air pump bay at the 7-Eleven petrol station in Giralang.

He was approached by one male holding a shotgun and a second who had a knife. They made demands for cash and cigarettes, which the taxi driver complied with handing over a small sum of cash and cigarettes.

The male offenders fled on foot and were last seen heading southwest on Atalumba Close.

One male offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 165cm (5’5”) tall. He was wearing a plain black jumper, black/blue pants and had his face covered with a black coloured cloth.

The second male offender was also Caucasian in appearance, approximately 165cm (5’5”) tall. He was wearing a plain black jumper, black/blue pants and had his face covered with a black coloured cloth.
