Two men to face court for multiple offences

Two men, one aged 22, the other aged 24, will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 9 January, 2020) following their apprehension yesterday.

As part of an ongoing coordinated ACT Policing operation, officers apprehended the two men after pursuing a stolen motor to Ginninderra Drive in Bruce. Four people were arrested, one was released without charge, another was granted watch house bail and will appear in court on a charge of riding in vehicle without consent at a later date.

The 22-year-old man will face charges of driving a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, drug driving, unlicenced driving, breach of parole and breach of bail.

The 24-year-old will face charges of driving a stolen motor vehicle, riding in a stolen motor vehicle, and driving while disqualified. He will also face a charge of aggravated robbery in company in relation to an incident at Hawker on Tuesday, 24 December, 2019.

The two men will face the ACT Magistrates Court today where police will oppose bail.
