Seeking witnesses to Civic robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery of a convenience store in Civic yesterday (Monday 1 June).

About 5.45pm, a man entered The Barrow convenience store on the ground level of the Waldorf building on the corner of Akuna Street and London Circuit, Civic. The man threatened a staff member with a large knife and demanded cash. The staff member complied and the man fled on foot.

The man was wearing a black hooded jumper and a covering over his face. The jumper was grey in the arms and black in the body with a large grey design on the front.

ACT Policing is investigating and seeking CCTV footage.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
