Second man arrested in relation to Kambah house fire

A 31-year-old man is expected to face court today (Thursday, 20 February 2020) charged in relation to a house fire in November 2019.

About 11.00pm on Thursday, 21 November 2019 police and ACT Fire & Rescue attended a fire at a residence on Chirnside Place, Kambah.

Following an investigation by ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis, the man was arrested about 7am today in Watson.

He has been charged with a total of nine offences, including acts endangering life, arson, aggravated burglary, and participating in a criminal group.  

Police will oppose bail.

He is the second man arrested in relation to this incident, following the arrest of a man in Kaleen yesterday (Wednesday, 19 February 2020).
