Search warrant reveals significant haul of stolen property

ACT Policing has recovered a significant amount of stolen property following the execution of a search warrant in Rivett yesterday (Friday, 25 October 2019).

Between Friday, 18 October and Monday, 21 October 2019, a burglary occurred at a construction site in Rivett, ACT.

Offender/s have gained entry to the premises and removed a number of items which were to be used in completing the building project.

The burglary was reported to police on Monday, 21 October, and following an investigation by Woden patrol members, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Rivett.

As a result of the warrant, police recovered a substantial amount of property reported stolen during the burglary, as well as two motorcycles also suspected of being stolen and a small amount of a substance believed to be unprescribed drugs.

A 24-year-old Rivett man will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with unlawful possession of stolen property, theft and drug offences.
