Public information leads to arrest of two men in Greenway

Two men will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 17 April 2019) following a report from the public of suspicious behaviour in the vicinity of a licensed club in Greenway.

About 2.15 this morning, members of the public attended Tuggeranong Police Station expressing concerns of a possible armed robbery. They reportedly observed two men acting suspiciously in a vehicle in the carpark of the Tuggeranong Town Centre Vikings Club on Rowland Rees Crescent.

A short time later, police attended the location and arrested two men. One man was found in the vehicle parked near the entrance to the club, the other was inside the club at the time of the arrest.

Both men will face court today charged with a range of offences, including going equipped for theft, possess knife, possess prohibited substance, breach of good behaviour order, and warrant offences.
