Police seeking witnesses to Charnwood ram-raid

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated burglary and property damage in Charnwood in the early hours of Wednesday morning (18 March 2015).

Around 1.22am, police responded to an alarm at BWS liquor in Charnwood. CCTV imagery showed a black Holden Colorado ute, reported to police as stolen, reversing into the front of the store. The vehicle caused a large amount of damage to the front of the store however the offenders failed to gain entry.

The vehicle was abandoned at the location and the offenders fled the scene.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area at the time to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
