Police seeking information on intruders in Banks

Witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to, or information about, a burglary in Banks early on Saturday morning (20 July 2019).

About 3.30am a resident of a house on Chalker Circuit was awoken by noises at the rear of the premises. The resident discovered a vehicle and a shed had been entered, and an attempt had been made to enter the house, but those responsible had left the scene.

The resident called police to report the incident.

Subsequent examination of CCTV footage from the premises revealed three men, two with what appear to be firearms, had been in the back yard.

One of the offenders was wearing a dark balaclava and a light-coloured puffer jacket.
