Police seek witnesses to fail to stop on Limestone Avenue

Witnesses sought

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses and dash-cam footage of a fail to stop incident in Ainslie on Tuesday, 11 June 2019.

About 5pm, ACT Policing members were on patrol in Ainslie when they became aware of a suspected stolen vehicle, a white Subaru Liberty with ACT vehicle registration.

Police positioned themselves behind the Subaru, activating their lights and sirens, and directing the vehicle to stop.

The driver of the Subaru allegedly accelerated away from police, proceeding through a red light at the intersection of Limestone Avenue and Ainslie Avenue, before continuing southwest down Limestone Avenue on the wrong side of the road.
