Police seek witnesses and vehicle from robbery in Bonython

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Bonython on Thursday (11 October, 2018).

About 6.25pm, a 75-year-old man parked his car, a dark grey Mercedes Benz C250, in the driveway of a residence in Bonython.

A man described as Caucasian in appearance, about 30-years-old, average build, about 178cm tall (5’10”), wearing a hooded jumper approached the car armed with a pistol.

He threatened the man who got out of his car. He allegedly then struck the man in the face before taking his wallet and fleeing in the Mercedes Benz C250.

The 75-year-old man sustained deep lacerations to his face and was transported to hospital.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information or dash-cam footage (from 6pm to 6.25pm between Isabella Plains Shops and Bonython) that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
