Police seek witnesses and dash cam footage of collision in Belconnen

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Aikman Drive, Belconnen about 4.15pm on Tuesday May 14.

An ACT Policing Traffic Operations car was rammed by a suspected stolen vehicle during a short pursuit.

It is alleged the driver of the offending vehicle ran a red light and collided with three other vehicles.

At this stage there are no reports of injuries in the collision.

The male driver returned a positive reading in a roadside drug test and was taken into custody.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference P1746965. Information can be provided anonymously.
