Police seek identity of co-offender in Calwell aggravated burglary

ACT Policing is seeking the identity of a man who was involved in an aggravated burglary in Calwell on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

About 11.15pm, staff from the Calwell Shopping Centre heard loud bangs coming from the rear of the centre and found two unknown men attempting to steal cash register drawers and a case of beer.

When staff confronted the men, one of the offenders threatened them with a hammer.

Police attended a short time later, and arrested a male matching the description of one of the offenders a short distance from the centre.

However, police were unable to locate the second man and have now released CCTV footage in order to identify this co-offender. He is described as around 170cm (5’7”) tall, with a solid build, tanned complexion, and dark hair and beard. He was last seen fleeing the location on foot towards Johnson Drive.
