Police respond to suspicious packages

ACT Policing responded to two suspicious packages found in a car park near Hobart Place this afternoon (Monday 20 July).

Police were alerted to the incident at around 4.30pm and a 15 metre cordon was put in place.

AFP Bomb Response Team was called in and as a precaution widened the exclusion zone to include London Circuit, Marcus Clarke Street and West Row.

The packages were later deemed safe with no suspicious circumstances.
