Police investigate fatal collision in Latham

ACT Policing is investigating a single vehicle collision in which a person has died on Ginninderra Drive, Latham, this morning (Thursday June 4).

About 4.55am, police responded to a collision on Ginninderra Drive, westbound, where a single car collided with a tree and caught fire. ACT Fire and Rescue were at the scene and extinguished a fire. ACT Ambulance Service also attended.

The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the driver. There was no one else in the car at the time.

Ginninderra Drive remains closed westbound between Kingsford Smith Drive and Tillyard Drive.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are investigating and will prepare a report for the ACT Coroner.

This is the sixth fatal collision on ACT roads this year.
