Police investigate death at Alexander Maconochie Centre

ACT Policing is investigating the death of a 29-year-old male detainee which occurred around 8:00pm yesterday evening (Saturday, 13 May) at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be prepared for the ACT Coroner.

Given the matter is under investigation it is inappropriate to make any further comment.
