Police exercise tonight in Belconnen

ACT Policing and partner agencies will conduct a training exercise between 7.30pm and midnight tonight (Tuesday 26 November 2019)  in the Belconnen area.  

During the training there will be an increased number of uniformed emergency personnel visible in Belconnen.

The public should not be alarmed if they see police or other personnel carrying weapons.

People who see the training should not be concerned that any of the locations are under any threat.  

In the event ACT Policing is required to respond to an actual incident, information will be provided via our official social media pages and the ACT Policing website.

Training such as this helps ensure that response capabilities are continually improved.

ACT Policing is not able to provide media access or further information for operational reasons.
