Police appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage of serious assault

ACT Policing is appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in O’Connor on Sunday, 9 June 2019.

About 6pm, a 20-year-old woman was walking along Tate Street towards the O’Connor shops when she was attacked by two men.

The men dragged her into a nearby street where one of the males physically assaulted the woman. The second man ran from the location before the assault.

After the assault, the first man ran towards Tate Street and continued on to either Westgarth or Robinson Street.

The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, over 183cm (6’0”) tall, with a slim build, clean shaven and blonde, shoulder length hair sticking out of his beanie. He was wearing a dark coloured beanie, woolen gloves, a top and pants.

The second man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, shorter than the other man, with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark beanie, dark clothing and possibly a ski jacket.
