OMCG member charged with drug trafficking

ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis officers have charged a Nomads OMCG member with offences including drug trafficking.

On Monday, 6 January 2020, a breach of good behaviour obligations warrant was issued for the arrest of a 29-year-old Kingston man.

About 8:00pm last night (Friday, 10 January 2020) members of Taskforce Nemesis located the 29-year-old in Kingston. He was arrested as a result of the warrant.

Following a search of his possessions, illicit drugs suspected to be methamphetamine, heroin and GHB were located.

Also in the 29-year-old’s possession was approximately $30,000 in cash.

He was subsequently charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis, possession of a drug of dependence and breach of bail.

The man is expected to face the ACT Magistrates court today where bail will be opposed.
