Murder, Witness photo released

In an attempt to locate further witnesses, ACT Policing today released a CCTV image of patrons inside Canberra’s Mawson Club from the night Canberra taxi driver Frank Campbell was murdered in May.

Detective Sergeant Dave Harrison, team leader of the murder investigation, said today he hopes someone will recognise themselves or someone they know appearing in the security image.

“We are releasing a photo today which shows a number of people inside the Mawson Club on the night of May 1 this year, around 8-8.20pm,” Det Sgt Harrison said.

“The people whose images appear in this photo are being asked to come forward and tell police whether they may have seen or heard something unusual during their time at the club.

“I would urge anyone who recognises themselves, or a friend, in this photo to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Det Sgt Harrison added.
