Man to face court for threatening to kill AFP member

A 29-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (10 October, 2019) after allegedly sending threatening emails to an AFP member.

Police allege that on 8 October the man sent several emails to the ACT Policing member, making threats against the member’s life and the lives of the member’s family.

Following a police investigation, the man was arrested in Belconnen yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 9 October 2019).

He was charged with one count of use carriage service to threaten to kill. Police will oppose bail.
