Man to face court for threat to kill and forcible confinement
A 30-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates court this morning charged with serious offences including threatening to kill and forcible confinement.
Police allege that sometime on Monday, 8 July 2019 a man was threatened and assaulted at a residence in Charnwood. The victim was then driven to a residence in Melba, where he was again threatened and assaulted.
The victim was then allegedly held at gun point and subsequently taken to a vehicle and driven to a remote location in New South Wales, where the offender left him.
Police enquiries into the incident led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Charnwood yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 9 July 2019).
As a result of this warrant activity, police arrested a 30-year-old man, who has been charged with threat to kill, forcible confinement, assault, make demand with threat to kill and possess offensive weapon.
