Man to face court for sex offences

A 60-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 21 December 2019) charged with historical sex offences.

Police will allege the man committed the offences between 1979 and 1986.

Yesterday (Friday, 20 December 2019), police arrested the man during a search warrant at his Wanniassa home.

The ACT Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team investigation had the assistance of the ACT Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (ACT JACET) and New South Wales Police. 

The man’s charges include maintaining a sexual relationship with a young person and intentionally possessing child exploitation material.
