Man to face court for overnight ram raids

A 33-year-old Gordon man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 9 October 2019) charged in relation to two aggravated burglaries.

About 3.25am today, police attended a business in Hawker which had significant damage.

It is alleged that a dark grey coloured Toyota Kluger was driven into the front of the store before a person entered the store through the broken glass door.

A short time later the person left empty handed in the Toyota Kluger.

About 3.30am a second aggravated burglary was reported at a Curtin business with a vehicle matching the same description.

A vehicle matching the same description was located burned out in Monash.

The man was located and arrested in Monash. He has since been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and breach of bail.  Police will oppose bail.
