Man to face court over act endangering the life of 11 month old child

Facing court

A 32-year-old Holt man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged over an act endangering the life of an 11-month-old child.

About 7.10pm on Saturday, 1 June 2019, ACT Policing was called to a residence in Monash by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics who were attending to the child.

When police arrived at the residence, paramedics were performing CPR on the child, who police now believe was the victim of an assault. The child was subsequently transferred to hospital in an ambulance.

An extensive police investigation into the incident led to the arrest of the 32-year-old man this morning.

He has been charged with act endangering life – choke render unconscious, and use carriage service to harass. He is expected to appear in court today.
