Man to face court following knife incident

ACT Policing has charged a 32-year-old Belconnen man following a disturbance in Belconnen last night (Thursday, 12 November).

Around 11.35pm, police responded to multiple reports of a man threating people with a knife in Chandler Street, Belconnen.

When police arrived, the man was being physically restrained by members of the public. Police have identified three victims, one of which sustained facial injuries.

The alleged offender was taken into custody by police and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

He has been charged with multiple offences including possess offensive weapon with intent, use offensive weapon-dangerous to a person, intentionally wound and damage property. He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
