Man to face court following Florey home invasion

A 31-year-old man from Eden, New South Wales will face the ACT Magistrates Court today on aggravated robbery and firearms charges following a home invasion at a residence in Florey.

About 4pm on Tuesday (16 July, 2019) ACT Policing received a report that two men had entered a residence armed with weapons.

It is alleged the men threatened the occupants.

The 31-year-old man was located in a garage at McCallum Circuit, Florey a short time later where police arrested him.

Police also found a backpack in the garage which contained a loaded sawn-off shotgun, a large kitchen knife and cable ties.

A short time later, police located a car that was linked to the two men. Police seized a second sawn-off shotgun, a number of knives and items of clothing from the vehicle.

Police are looking for the second man believed to be involved in the incident. He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm (5’9”) tall, with a solid build and short hair.
