Man to face court for aggravated robbery

A 30-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 26 January 2019), charged with multiple serious offences.

About 7.00pm on Thursday, 10 January 2019, police attended a residence in Oaks Estate following the report of a disturbance.

Police will allege the man, in company with co-offenders, entered the residence before assaulting the occupant and taking a number of items from him. The occupant was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police will also allege the man is the President of the ACT chapter of the Satudarah Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

About 1.00pm yesterday (Friday, 25 January 2019), police arrested the man in Belconnen.

He has been charged with aggravated robbery, inflict grievous bodily harm, make a demand with a threat to kill and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Police will oppose bail.
