Man to face court after assaulting child

ACT Policing this morning (Tuesday, 1 September 2020) arrested a 46-year-old Throsby man after he allegedly assaulted a child at a day care centre in Gowrie.

It is alleged, on Wednesday (26 August 2020), a member of the public saw the staff member repeatedly shake a child against a fence.

The day care centre reported the incident to police.

The man was charged with common assault and is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court later today.
