Man to face court for act of indecency

A 50-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Friday, 23 February 2018).

Yesterday afternoon (Thursday 22 February 2018) a female and her friends attended the City Police Station and made a sexual assault complaint to police.

About 2.30pm the group of friends attended an event in Parkes. It is alleged that as one of the females was being greeted, a male put his hand up her skirt and committed an act of indecency.

About 6.15pm the same day, police located the man and subsequently arrested him.

The man was taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with an act of indecency without consent. His bail was refused at the City Watch House.
