Fifth fatality on ACT roads in 2019

ACT Policing is investigating a fatal collision involving two vehicles in Barton this afternoon (Monday, 21 October 2019).

About 2.10pm, a car and a fire truck collided at the intersection of Brisbane Avenue and Bowen Drive.

The female driver of the car was cut from the vehicle and treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance paramedics before being transported to hospital where sadly she died a short time later.

ACT Policing’s Crash Investigation and Reconstruction Team and WorkSafe are investigating the circumstances of the collision. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
