Drugs, weapons and cash seized in Police operation

On Tuesday night (14 August 2018), ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis members assisted by the Criminal Investigations Drug Team and Crime Disruption Team executed a search warrant in Gungahlin.

On arrival, Police saw the warrant person of interest at the front of the premises. He was searched and a bag containing an ounce of cocaine was found in his pocket.

During the warrant, more than 350 grams of cocaine was seized along with several kilograms of cannabis head, weapons including knuckledusters and a taser and about $6000 cash. A significant quantity of steroids and prescription medication was also seized.

The 30-year-old Gungahlin man was arrested and will be charged with offences relating to trafficable quantities of cocaine, cannabis and weapons offences and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
