Crace man to face court on drug charges

A 32-year-old Crace man will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Friday, 23 August 2019) on a range of charges, including drug trafficking offences.

Yesterday (22 August) officers from ACT Policing, with assistance from AFP Specialist Response Group Tactical Response and Canine Unit executed search warrants on the man, his vehicle and his residence.

Police will allege that during the search, a substance believed to be methylamphetamine with a street value of $11 250 was found and seized. Police also seized a Holden HSV utility, a conducted energy weapon, substances believed to be steroids, $13 025 cash and additional property suspected of being stolen.

The man will face court today, charged with trafficking a controlled drug, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, driving while disqualified, diving under the influence of drugs, and driving a vehicle with a number plate issued for another vehicle.

Bail will be opposed.
