When the Canberra Raiders take to GIO Stadium for their National Rugby League match against the Sydney Roosters this Sunday, the Green Machine will have an added touch of yellow.

ACT Policing has teamed up with the Raiders to raise awareness of National Missing Persons Week 2019, and the team will wear yellow socks with the Missing Persons Week campaign logo this Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders’ yellow socks will provide a local and national talking point for the 2019 campaign, and in further support, images of the ACT’s missing persons will be displayed at GIO Stadium on game day.

There are more than 2600 long-term missing persons across Australia, 14 of them from the ACT, and police are trying to reach as many people as possible in the hope someone, somewhere will remember something about one of these cases.

In this National Missing Persons Week, ACT Policing is urging anyone with any information about any missing person to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

More information about the ACT’s active long-term missing persons cases can be found at https://police.act.gov.au/crime/missing-persons
