Scam alert

Scam alert

While we may have enjoyed watching Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can scam his way through life on the big screen, NOBODY enjoys being a victim of a scam in reality.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who think they are just like Frank, and that they can outwit the best minds, not just the more vulnerable groups in society.

We want you to be alert and aware that scams can happen to anyone at any time in any form. And they are happening.

Scammers target the community in all forms including;

• Phone calls
• Text messages
• Emails
• Fraudulent letters from the Tax Office
• Notices to attend court, pay bills and traffic fines… that don't even exist!
• Donation requests

If you believe any of your online accounts have been hacked, or have been sent any illegal or prohibited online content, please do not click on any links and delete it from your inbox immediately and report to Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network.

If you believe you have been scammed in any form please report it to Scamwatch

Be aware, share with your family and friends and don’t let the scammers get away with it.
