Behind the Badge - Regional Targeting Team

When our officers put on their uniform before starting a shift, they don’t know what they will be facing for the day. There is no ordinary day…or night. And that’s certainly the case for our Regional Targeting Team (RTT).

The RTT is comprised of hardworking and passionate members who conduct high-visibility patrolling throughout the entertainment precincts in Canberra.

They’re the ones you see out at night in the bright yellow tops, and they’re the ones that put on their badge each shift to ensure you’re safe.

Unfortunately, this team sees some sickening and completely unnecessary alcohol-fuelled violence. They see the arguments. The fights. The injuries.
