ACT Policing display brings Christmas cheer

Yesterday, officers from ACT Policing spread some Christmas cheer to 1600 special needs children at the Mix 106.3 Special Children's Christmas Party at Thoroughbred Park in Canberra.

This event is a highlight for the officers who wait all year round to provide something special to these beautiful children and seeing their smiling faces makes their day.

The annual event runs in conjunction with Make-A-Wish Australia and is aimed at providing a Christmas party filled with presents, fun activities and entertainment for children with life threatening illnesses, physical or intellectual disabilities or who are severely underprivileged or experiencing social disadvantages.

ACT Policing is a major sponsor of the event and provided a fun display with jet skis, a high-visibility police vehicle and traffic motorcycles.

The kids had great fun with the friendly canines and were excited to take home some Constable Kenny goodies.
