Witnesses sought to Belconnen assault

Police are seeking witnesses to assaults that occurred in the vicinity of Westfield Belconnen and the Belconnen Bus Interchange on Tuesday 29 August (2017).

Between 6:00pm and 6.30pm, a group of juveniles were near the Bus Interchange on Cohen Street when two of the males started fighting each other.

A short time later, the group entered Westfield Belconnen near the Katmandu store while the two males were still fighting. A member of the public intervened and was harassed by the group before being assaulted by a female juvenile. The member of the public departed the area in the direction of the Platform 1 of the Bus Interchange while being followed by the group of juveniles, who continued to harass and assault him.
