ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Kingston today (18 September 2017).

Around 12.10pm, a female postal worker was approached by a male on Currie Crescent (near the intersection on Giles Street). The male offender was armed with a knife and made demands for her postal bike. The victim complied and the offender fled the scene on the bike. The bike was found a short time later on Currie Crescent.

The male offender is described as aged in his early 20’s, Caucasian in appearance, slim build, with brown hair. He was wearing a t-shirt with a Holden logo and cargo shorts.

Prior to the incident, he was seen in the vicinity of the Kingston shops.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6153360. Information can be provided anonymously.

An armed robbery team has been created within ACT Policing Criminal Investigations, with the sole focus of investigating current and historical aggravated robberies.
