Police seek witnesses to knife incident in Civic

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and CCTV or mobile phone footage to an incident in Civic yesterday (Saturday, 20 June 2020).

Around 3pm, police responded to reports that a man carrying a large knife had entered the Canberra Centre.

The man was arrested in the shopping centre a short time later. He is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on 3 August, 2020 charged with possessing an offensive weapon.

Police are requesting anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information or any footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
