Police investigate shooting and fire in Fisher

ACT Policing are investigating an incident at a residence in Fisher last night (Tuesday 17 October).

About 10:30pm police attended a residence in Kalgoorlie Street following reports of a shooting and a fire at the location.

Two cars had been set alight in the front yard of the residence, and a man suffered gunshot wounds to the groin and shoulder.

ACT Fire Brigade attended and put out the blaze.

ACT Ambulance Service transported the man to The Canberra Hospital for treatment.

A crime scene was set up and AFP Forensic Services attended and conducted an examination of the scene.

Police believe this is a targeted incident and Taskforce Nemesis are investigating any links to Outlaw Motor Cycle Gangs.

ACT Policing is urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Kalgoorlie Street around 10:30pm last night, or who has any information or CCTV that could assist police, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via their website.
