Man charged with 2011 sexual assault

A 35-year-old Flynn man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning on charges arising from an alleged sexual assault in January 2011.

Police will allege the man filmed himself committing an indecent act, and sexually assaulting his former partner while she was sleeping.

The video and photographs were discovered last month by a relative of the victim, who informed police.  

Police executed 3 search warrants yesterday (17 June, 2020) and located additional similar images at his residence. The man was arrested.

The man will face charges of recklessly engaging in sexual intercourse without consent, and committing an act of indecency without consent.
