Green thumbed thief targets front yard

ACT Policing is seeking information from the public about a series of plant thefts from a residence in Conder earlier this year.

On 22 May, a male offender took two camellia, three viburnums and seven obelia plants. On 6 June, sometime between 5.30am and 8am, the male returned to the property and took three camellia plants. On 11 July, a further two camellia and four obelia plants were taken. About 2.10am on 30 July the male returned to the property and took two viburums.

In total, the offender has taken seven camellia, five viburnum and 11 obelia plants from the residence, with a value of $1000.

ACT Policing has released CCTV footage of the thefts.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6134821. Information can be provided anonymously.
